Play-Asia.com X Shonengamez: Game Translations For Import Titles!

If you've been following our Facebook page, you might have noticed that we've been linking to Shonengamez.com, a translation site built up of passionate gamers who would just like to make it easier for fellow gamers when playing Japanese titles. As such, we're proud to announce our official partnership with Shonengamez!
To celebrate this, if you go to Shonengamez.com, you can get a coupon code for either the JPN or Asia version for Bandai Namco's latest RPG: Tales of Zestiria that's releasing today! So make sure to go there if you haven't already, especially since they will be translating Tales and many other games! Yappari~
We understand that there are many titles from Japan, and many of you have met the limitation of a language barrier. While older games have fan translation patches and such, for current and newer titles, this is not the case, and there are many titles that won't ever be localized unfortunately.
Because of this, we've been working with Shonengamez for a bunch of upcoming games you might be interested in, as they work with games, Magazine scans, and trailer reveals as soon as they release - they're really up to speed! For your reference though, here is a tentative list of games that will recieving a lot of attention with translations:

Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Physical Vers. Bonus + Chinese Subs + PS3 Bundle!

With Evil watching, will there be a way to escape? The complete Physical version gives you all the tools and more!

RESIDENT EVIL: REVELATIONS 2
PlayStation®4 XboxOne™ PlayStation®3 Xbox360™ [Survival Horror]
Episode 1 Digital Release: Feb 18th, 2015 / Complete Physical Release: March 12th, 2015

Set between the harrowing events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 marks Capcom's tempered decision in bringing back the survival horror they once monopolized.
Sequel to immensely popular Resident Evil: Revelations (which on it's own garnered enough popularity to get a console release post handheld debut), Revelations 2 was formally announced at TGS 2014, but only in the form of digital episodic downloads promising intense and unforgettable cliffhangers.
Yet, to those who love physical versions, this was a sad move on Capcom's part; fortunately, there is now a physical version which not only contains complete 4 episodes, but also physical only bonus as well as a commemorative collectable!
Regardless of version, Revelations 2 has a lot to offer to fans of the series. Trapped  in a derelict prison on a mysterious island filled with grotesque creatures and other unknown horrors, fan favorite Claire Redfield finally returns in a starring role; supporting her is Moira Burton, daughter of the RE legend Barry Burton, who is also a playable character. As well, for those who cannot brave the horrors alone, there is assistive Couch Co-op play; players will be switching between characters throughout the ordeal.

There is also the return of the popular raid mode, an arcade-like experience focused on quick wits and destructive combat.
Finally, while survival horror games place a lot of weight on tension of the unknown, when a threat does reveal itself, it must be terrifying; introducing a brand new type of enemy known as the "Afflicted," these monstrosities adapt, charge, and even exhibit intelligence making every encounter a possible last.
Be ready, as evil is watching....

WEEKLY SPECIAL: Tales of Xillia 2, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Risen 3: Titan Lords + MORE!

Welcome to our Weekly Special! Every week we feature a selection of titles for less so you can play without all the pay! This week we packed the lineup with Japanese RPGs and other insanely fun titles!
Following the Weekly Specials tradition, there is no maximum number of purchase. Please bear in mind that you cannot use any further coupons or free shipping with our Weekly Special offers.

TALES OF XILLIA 2
PlayStation®3 [RPG]
The follow up to the critically acclaimed Tales of XilliaToX 2 takes place one year after the climatic events of the previous title - where the two worlds, Rieze Maxia and Elympios, are no longer separated by the barrier. Elympios is a world of technological advancement gained through the use of Spyrix, whereas Rieze Maxia is a previously isolated land which relies on spirit artes and nature.
Tales of Xillia 2 follows Ludger Will Kresnik, who comes from a particularly special family with the ability to destroy alternative timelines. Throughout the character's journey the player will be able to decide how to react to various characters and situations that will later branch out into different paths. Your choices will make all the difference; the central theme of the title being 'Sentaku ga Mirai wo Tsumugu RPG' or 'an RPG where your choices determine the future'.
The battle sequences in the title use the "Cross Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System" - where four characters are chosen to battle and the non-player controlled characters are set instructions by the player beforehand. The "Assault Counter" denotes the number of skills and actions a character can perform and recharges over time. Skill usage costs "Technical Points" which can be refilled by attacking or using items. The game will be featuring the Linking System from the original Tales of Xillia, in which players can team up or link up to other players in battle to destroy enemies and support robust linked artes attacks. Swap weapons with the new "Weapon Swap Mechanic" while in battle where players can switch between three main weapons: a sledgehammer, dual blades, and dual pistols in real-time combat!

Tales of Xillia 2 (English) PlayStation 3 ASIA  US$ 24.99 24h

ALIEN ISOLATION
PlayStation®3 [Action / Stealth]
Alien: Isolation is largely focused on stealth mechanics, and unlike most video game adaptations of the Alien franchise Alien: Isolation features few Aliens throughout its duration requiring the player to go unnoticed in order to survive being hunted. That doesn't mean there is no shooting, you will encounter humans and androids to get your FPS fill but it should not consume the gameplay. In fact, increasing your light or sound makes it all the easier to be found.
All that said the most exciting aspect of the game is the Alien and it's AI, and how it will track down our protagonist. Both you and the Alien will have ways to thwart each other through the non-linear level (reportedly featuring multiple exit and entry points) but the developer's goal is to make you feel like the AI is tracking you, learning from you, and toying with you. If that isn't unnerving enough, you will be unable to track the Alien's specific location and have no information at all if the Alien is not moving.
Adding to the immersion, the game will feature no on-screen HUD forcing you to inhibit your attention while using your inventory items to gather information. The developers even go so far as to introduce a depth-of-field effect making it impossible to see the Alien's location and what is in front of you at the same time. Alien: Isolation also features a crafting system allowing the player to create weapons and tools to defend themselves. The items used for crafting appear in randomized locations throughout the levels, forcing players to explore in order to find them on each playthrough instead of memorizing their locations.

Alien: Isolation (English) PlayStation 3 ASIA  US$ 22.99 24h

RISEN 3: TITAN LORDS
PlayStation®3 Xbox360™ [Action Adventure]
After the success of its predecessors, Piranha Bytes, the creators of the Risen series, is ready to launch the newest and third installment, Risen 3: Titan Lords!
Experience the game’s hand-crafted role-playing world full of rugged charm where every decision and action corresponds to a consequence. Similar to the preceding iterations in the series, Risen 3 will give players the freedom to explore the world, which promises to be diverse, authentic and full of life.
The world created for Risen 3: Titan Lords is one abandoned by all the gods and now faces anguish due to the Titan War. Players will take on the role of a young warrior that fearlessly sets off on a quest to retrieve his lost soul amidst the spreading of darkness and evil all over the word. To make the quest successful, the warrior needs to find and seek the help of very powerful Mages. These Mages are protected by the Guardians in their sanctuary on Taranis, also known as the Island of Thunder. Players will join guilds and forge alliances in order to to be the hero the Risen world needs.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song with English Subs releases in April - PSV/PS3!

SWORD ART ONLINE: LOST SONG
PlayStation®3 PlayStation®Vita [RPG]
As Bandai Namco revealed the development of Sword Art Online: Lost Song to the world, there was one question that many people asked: when will we be able to play an English version of the game? Worry no more, you can now pre-order SoA with English subtitles for both PS3 and PSV!
Sword Art Online: Lost Song will take place on Svart ALfheim, a mysterious new floating continent that comes bundled as a game update to the ALfheim Online virtual reality. Svart ALfheim will reportedly be a vast continent with a variety of zone types including plains, deserts, and tundra, amongst others. Each area can be freely explored on foot or by air.
The combat in Lost Song is now split between land and air battles, which will greatly affect the way players fight. Land battles will be the primary way to do battle in dungeons, but outside of them players can choose to switch between the two combat styles.
Air battles turn player focus to maneuverability, allowing them to make use of the multiple axes during aerial combat and the strategy they bring. The ability to autoattack is removed in air battles, but players can choose to have lock-on targeting deactivated which will allow them to attack any part of an enemy's body.

Limited Edition contents:
  • PS Vita Game: Sword Art Online: Lost Song
  • Soundtrack CD
  • Special Blu-ray Disc
  • Mini Clear Poster
  • Booklet

Lost Song also marks the first instance in a Sword Art Online title where players will be able to choose to play as someone other than Kirito! Whether or not this means players will be able to customize their own avatars is not yet known. Parties in Lost Song will also have a capacity of three characters, of which the player will be able to choose.
Sword Art Online: Lost Song will feature cooperative online multiplayer. Players will be able to choose their character and log in to a 16 person tavern lobby, where up to four players can form a party and embark on difficult quests that will present players with even greater rewards.
