Monster Hunter 4G is the newest installment in the popular Monster Hunter series, which has sold more than 28 million units worldwide to date. In Monster Hunter 4G, players will take on the role of a hunter that joins up with a traveling caravan to explore new lands and towns along the way. This grand adventure will include hundreds of quests to take on a variety of extraordinary creatures that yield valuable resources used for weapons and equipment. Launching on Nintendo 3DS, Monster Hunter 4G represents the biggest leap forward ever for the series with more new content and exciting features than ever before. Also, for the first time ever for the Monster Hunter series on a handheld system, players will be able to join up with friends over the internet via the Nintendo Network, as well as the previously available local wireless option.
Monster Hunter 4G will take players to new heights, literally, with the introduction of more vertical and lateral movement than ever. - Bigger and Better Than Before!
Bigger Monster And Terrain On MH4G - The amazing Monster Hunter franchise returns, and as always: bigger and better than before! Details are slowly trickling in, but we have already been teased with just enough to start really getting excited! One Monster Hunter 4G's many improvements is the addition of monsters - adding 8 new large monsters to the roster: 7 of them being subspecies of existing monsters and 1 being a flying Wyvern. There will be 88 total monsters in the game: 22 small and 66 large. Expect to see many monsters returning to the series like Apceros, Diablos, and Hermitaur to name just a few!
- Strong Emphasis On Three Dimensional Battle
Monster Hunter 4G Terrain - Monster Hunter 4 is different from its predecessors in its strong emphasis on three-dimensional movement. Walls can now be climbed more fluidly and in any direction, and for the first time players can grab on to monsters and attack them, as well as attack while in midair.The monsters are terrain-aware and use the environment to their advantage. Two new weapons have been added: the Insect Glaive and the Charge Axe. Underwater battling (a feature in Monster Hunter 3) has been removed.
- Online Multiplayer Like Never Before
Monster Hunter 4G Online Coop Battle - Monster Hunter 4G will feature online multiplayer and owners of the previous title Monster Hunter 4 will be able to transfer their save files to Monster Hunter 4G! Please note that the save feature only applies to Japanese versions of the game.
- A New "Guild Quest" System
Monster Hunter 4G Guild Quest System - A New "Guild Quest" System has been added. Guild Quests feature different missions for each player, and will generate random equipment with slightly altered stats. In order to access more weapons and armor, players must trade their Guild Quests with other players using Guild Cards or the StreetPass function. Up to 50 missions can be saved for future use. The solo counterpart to Guild Quests—the "Exploration Missions"—generates a different map and different equipment each time it is played. Some of the equipment is unique to Guild Quests and Exploration, and features old armor designs from monsters that appeared in previous installments of the series but that do not appear in Monster Hunter 4, including but not limited to old Khezu, Rathian, and Rathalos armor sets,the Qurupeco Slash Axe, and the Barroth Great Sword.
