Noir: An Anime Classic - Girls With Guns On BluRay!

NOIR: COMPLETE SERIES - CLASSIC
“Noir” is the code name of an unlikely pair of female assassins: Mireille Bouquet and Kirika Yumara. The latter is a young Japanese girl suffering from amnesia who got in contact with Mireille to find out more about their mysterious past. During their search, the two are repeatedly ambushed by a dangerous organization called “Les Soldates”, that seems to be intertwined with the heroins' fate and an ancient prophecy of two maidens who will reign over death.
This remastered Bluray four-disc set is part of Funimation's re-releases in their Anime Classics line. It includes all 26 episodes of this milestone of the 'girls with guns' genre and delivers in very stylistic fight choreography and elaborate shootouts as well as mystery, action, and drama.
Sadly, a planned live-action adaption from television network Starz is on hold since 2012; the anime is a good indicator of what would have been...
And if you like "Noir" and its 'girls with guns' genre, you might also be interested in: Madlax, El Cazador de la Bruja, Gunslinger Girl or Ergo Proxy!

'Bravely Second: End Layer' classes, characters, and more detailed!

BRAVELY SECOND: END LAYER
Nintendo 3DS™ [RPG]
Release: April 23, 2015
Bravely Second: End Layer is the sequel to Square Enix's Bravely Default, considered to be one of the best turn-based RPGs for the Nintendo 3DS and viewed by many as the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.
Bravely Second will feature a new cast of characters, new job classes, additions to the map and setting, as well as system changes.
The title is set in the same world several years after the Warriors of Light saved it from crisis, the current stage of the story takes place in Luxendarc. A major addition to the map is a city called Guatelatio, home of the Crystal Orthodoxy's headquarters and the 'Orthodox Knights', a group dedicated to defending both the Faith and the Holy Land.
At the center of the Orthodox Knights are the Three Musketeers, tasked with leading the knights. The first of the three is our young leader and protagonist, Yuu. When the head of his family dies and passes the responsibility on to 16 year old Yuu he rises to the occasion becoming an excellent student and eventual head of the Orthodox Knights, as well as the bodyguard for Agnes (who will be returning from Bravely Default).
The second Musketeer is Jean, another 16 year old prodigy and master swordsman. Jean has a knack for getting into major fights, but remains close friends with Yuu as well as a dedicated, and competent, member of the Orthodox Knights. Last but not least is Nikolai who is responsible for administration, recruiting talented individuals to join the Orthodox Knights, and maintaining his reputation amongst the Guetaletio nobles.

Naaaaannnniiiii?! Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku New Release Date!

BARF! Are we having fun yet?! With Arc System Works' contemporary remake of an NES classic, yes definitely! Dealyed for a month, we now have a new release date! KUNIO KUN 4 FOREVER!

DOWNTOWN NEKKETSU SOREYKUE DAIUNDOUKAI: ALL STAR SPECIAL
PlayStation®3 [Beat em Up Party Best Party] Release: March 5th

River City Ransom. Nintendo World Cup. Super Dodgeball. What do all of these games have in common? If you answered Kunio Kun aka one of the best series of all time, then you know what's up!
Arc System Works recently announced on Famitsu a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku Soreyuke Daiundoukai and this is extremely good news! Also known as Crash 'n' the Boys: Street Challenge (released 1990 for the NES), this game takes the chunky sprite characters from the Kunio Kun series and pits them against each other in an unorthodox sporting event where everything goes, especially cheating ;)
New to this version are highly detailed 3D backgrounds, online multiplayer support, and a single player story mode. The best thing of all for fans is that the classic character sprites have been retained, offering a retro charm exclusive to this series! The world needs more Kunio-kun!

Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundoukai All Star Special PlayStation 3 JPN  US$ 41.99 pre

"Cross-Country Dream Town"
A hectic race though a seemingly arbitrary course, fight for first place while wrecking havoc through the streets, inside peoples’ houses, on the roofs, and even in the sewers! Always watch your back though, cause you'll never see that lead pipe to the back of your head - especially right before the finish line!

"On-the-Pole Ball Breaking Competition"
As opposed to on the ground ball breaking, which frankly seems like the lesser evil if we had to choose; players compete in teams with the objective of climbing the central poles to the top in order to break a steel ball - it's this kind of mode where betrayals are
the key to winning~

"Obstacle Room Competition"
Remember the warehouse stage where you faced Rocco? And the diabolical boxes which were impossible to jump on? Well, imagine being trapped in a similar room with 3 others trying to escape! Hopefully they have an Acro Circus upgrade...

"Wrestling Tournament"
By wrestling, we mean BATTLE ROYALE. It's every man for themselves in this no holds barred death match. Dragon Feet and Stones Hands are allowed, but no Javelin man. That's just
uncalled for.

Amiibo Pre-Order Status Update - Feb 11, 2015

Once again, it is a sad moment for us to share with you that we are unable to fulfill any orders for the US region amiibos. Because of the supply shortage from Nintendo, we regret having to inform you that all pre-orders right now are on hold and are on back-ordered status.
Unlike other major American retailers, we have not yet canceled any orders, only because we have been seeking new suppliers from Australia and the United Kingdom, as they have expressed to us that there is a possibility of being able to get these coveted region free figurines.
And like other retailers, Nintendo never gave us an indication that the stock levels would be so dangerously low, and we only opened pre-orders under the guarantee from our previous suppliers that we would be able to get them. As such, recent updates have left things in the current state; despite this, we are always trying our best to honor our customers' needs.
The only official update from Nintendo regarding future reprints of the amiibos have been from an Associated Press Interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, and the following was answered:
AP: If you discontinue certain "amiibo" figures, will you continue to include them digitally in future games?
Miyamoto: We're not making promises for certain figures, but the way "amiibo" is designed is that certain games can have "amiibo" specifically for that game. Other games can take advantage of past "amiibo" that developers want to make their game compatible with. In the future, we have the option, if certain "amiibo" figures are no longer available in stores, to release an "amiibo" in card form with the same functionality.
Regardless, we know how much people want these figures, and we will keep you all updated when we receive confirmation from our suppliers. Please understand that if we cannot get them we will ultimately have to cancel the pre-orders, but before that happens, we will try our utmost best to source the amiibos as soon as possible.

We thank you for all the patience you've given us, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the amiibo shortage.

The following US region amiibos have been affected by the shortage:

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: Pre-Orders Finally Open!

Controversial on it's exclusivity for the New Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo's hardware claim that only their new iteration of the handheld could handle the processing needed to play this game was rendered moot, as the fact stands: we can all finally be able to enjoy one of the most celebrated titles in JRPG history. As more details reveal themselves near the release, we will be sure to follow and keep you all updated.

XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3D
New Nintendo 3DS™ [Role Playing] Release: April 10, 2015 (US)
Considered to be one of the best Japanese RPGs of all time, Xenoblade Chronicles was a complete rarity upon release. Those who were fortunate enough to play Monolith Soft's RPG opus gave it exceedingly high reviews across the board, and the rest of the world could only live vicariously.
Now, with an updated port of the original Nintendo Wii title, gamers across the world can finally have an opportunity to play this legendary game, exclusively on the New Nintendo 3DS!
An ancient conflict of gods lives on though those in the present, but they only know of one thing, that they must survive the onslaught of violent robotic creatures known as the Mechon. Follow Shulk and his comrades as they search for the truth of their past, present and future with the ultimate answer lying with the mysterious sword "Monado."
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D takes place in a vast open world with a real promise that delivers what many open world games lack - that any location see can be traversed. While exploring exceedingly lush and well conceived environments, players will encounter side quests and the NPCs that give them; these include item hunting and monster hunting quests.
Exploration is highly encouraged, and without breaking the flow of travel, side quests completed are automatically turned in with the relevant rewards, removing the common mechanic of constantly returning to a hub world. There are also day-and-night cycles that affect in-game factors like events, item appearance, and quests; players can also set the time to the specific moment they desire.
Battle in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is done via real-time in combination with action-based attacks, where manual movement and key positioning ensures for deep strategy. While party members auto-attack foes within an attack radius, limited manual commands can be made, but these are reserved for character specific moves called "Arts" and "Talent Arts", which are set with a cool down period. While leveling up is done with traditional experience points, the true potential of party members shine when developing their repertoire of "Arts."
To further affect the flow of battle, players must fully use the "Party Gauge," which fills overtime with successive attacks and allows the chaining of multiple attacks; but with each command, party members will also increase enemy ire through the aggro ring, making themselves the main target. There is also a "Visions" system, which gives players a sneak premonition into upcoming enemy moves, so by balancing chain attacks, paying careful attention to enemy aggro, and careful positioning, players can leave battles unscathed, but only with credit to their ability to be aware of such factors.
And while many open world games loses track of themselves through the sheer amount of content available, in game systems like the "Affinity" system will keep the story grounded, as players unlock the "Heart-to-Hearts" moments revealing deep character backgrounds, thoughts, and personality. This mechanic also affects the perception of the player's party in the eyes of the actual game world, making an immersive experience possible from the beginning till the end. And when all that's done, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D has a new game plus mode, carrying over progress between game completions.
Finally, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D has extensive character customization, with changes of outfits, armor, and weapons directly reflected in game, appearing in both scripted and field events.
Already a highly polished title, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is a game that all fans of a premier JRPGs can look forward to playing.
