Did someone say chimichanga? Deadpool is coming to Hong Kong Blu-ray, DVD and for the first time 4K Blu-ray, hooray!
DEADPOOL What can be said about the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time other than "Cudos to you, dear Deadpool crew!". Because not only did they work against the odds, with the studio cutting about $7 million from the budget last-minute, but also is this director Tim Miller's debut. Before that, he worked mainly in video game and visual effects, where he caught everyone's attention and his cinematic trailer for the DC Universe Online game. This ultimately landed him the job on Deadpool but before that, Miller was involved in several other comic adaptations ranging from a Lobo movie to Warren Ellis' Gravel to Eric Powell's The Goon. None of these came to be, but after the huge success of Deadpool, we will probably see an R-rated Comic book movie trend kicking off and some of these ? Appear on the big screen. Next to Deadpool 2 of course, which is already in production with main actor Ryan Reynolds and Miller returning. Let's hope those other adaptations Get made by people who are as dedicated and faithful fans of the source material as the crew of ??L.

THE REVENANT & THE HATEFUL EIGHT Whether you're being mangled by a bear or Kurt Russel, life on the American frontier was pretty hard. This is nowhere as obvious as in two of our new Hong Kong releases of May: The Revenant and The Hateful 8! On the one hand, we have Leonardo DiCaprio devouring a raw bison liver and Tom Hardy not only choking director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, but also making a T-shirt of it and handing it out to the crew. And on the other hand, we have Quentin Tarantino's third movie in a row where a character is shot in the testicles. What more could we ask for? Well, for Leo sleeping in the gutted carcass of an actual horse during the shoot. But that turned out to be a rumor. Bummer.

UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF'S END Release: May 10, 2016 If you're a fan of the Uncharted series and has been following the development of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, you're probably already aware of the numerous delays Naughty Dog had with the game. At last, we can rejoice as they have finalized the worldwide release date to be May 10! The word excitement just barely cut it when Naughty Dog has announced the game to be "his greatest adventure yet and will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately, what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves." If Drake is willing to break his promise to Elena, we just cannot wait to see what type of journey awaits for this retired fortune hunter! A new gameplay trailer revealed by Playstation, although short, reveals many good bits of what we can expect in the game including a pirate ship graveyard which is most likely alot of stealth and climbing, puzzles to solve together with Sully, a boat pursuit, and a gate-crashing escape! Just a little more to wait... just... a bit... more...!!

Most of the time, the regimen required to be at Hadouken throwing conditions is orthodox and traditional; in this case it's just weird - charming, but weird. As seen in capsules™, this bizarre collection featuring 4 popular characters from Street Fighter as smartphone holders depicts a humorous and candid moment especially with Ken and Ryu's face as if came straight from the original Street Fighter arcade cabinet art. There's also a bonus 5th character - Guile - now a coaster in the fashion of garbage pail kid sticker. He does not look okay at all ;p

It's the end of the world with Attack on Titan 2 on Hong Kong DVD!
ATTACK ON TITAN 2: THE END OF THE WORLD The conclusion of the live action storyline about grotesque, human-gobbling cannibal giants makes yet another shift into a different direction: instead of the kaiju/zombie/horror-feel of the first movie, we get more of a straight action movie with some serious Titan-on-Titan MMA style fighting. Sadly, that replaced the scenes of mindless monsters snacking on people. With reveals and story twists aplenty, The End of the World wraps up the convoluted plot in a way that falls in line with recent young adult/ dystopian fiction. It will be interesting to see how much that diverges from where the anime is going once the (delayed) second season is finally released later this year. Please note that both movies are a region code 3 DVD and the season one box sets below both have no english subs. No news on a Blu-Ray release yet, but we will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

I AM SETSUNA PlayStation®4 PS®Vita [JRPG] Digital Only Release - July 19th, 2016 For those who grew up with the Super Nintendo, seeing this video instantly harkens back to the days of some of the best JRPGs video gaming has ever offered. Distinctively an old school RPG with 1990's stylization, I Am Setsuna is Square Enix's homage to the past, described at TGS 2015 as a "pure fantasy, true role-playing video game." Based on the roots of both Square and Enix, then this is something that all gamers can look forward to, especially those who love epic stories, indelible piano music, and the polish games of that era shared. Taking place on a snow-bound island, immediately one can perceive that the theme of I Am Sestuna is intended to be sadness - the title literally means Setsuna of Sacrifice and Snow. According to ancient customs, a maiden must be sacrificed as appeasement to demons; the game sets off with a cast of characters who accompany Setsuna, the chosen one, to the edges of the known world for her own sacrifice. How this concludes though - we have all yet to discover.  It's interesting to point out that the battle system is a modern combination of both Square Enix's famous ATB (Active Time Battle System) and the upgraded ATB 2.0 of one of the most famous JRPGs of all time: Chrono Trigger. As such, battles take place not in the overworld, but through dungeons (similar to CT) and depending on the position of the player party, different movesets can activate, so long as a character's ATB guage is filled up. There's also a separate limit break type mechanic called the Setsuna gauge; with each action taken or when the ATB gauges is allowed to fill, a special power boost is given to the characters resulting in battle changing events like new attacks, health recovery, or massive critical attacks to the enemies. And almost too true to JRPG tradition - I Am Setsuna has already gotten a release in Japan, with stellar reviews on gameplay, story, and music - this parallels the same trends for those who've lived throught the "Golden Age of JRPGs." If you want to get this English Version, the best way to get it is via PSN points, which you can pick up here. CLASSIC DUNGEON SENGOKU PS®Vita [Action RPG] Release: May 26, 2016 Taking place in the fictional world of Arcanus Cella, a limbo for spirits yet to pass on until they've resolved their regrets, and seen in all titles so far, Classic Dungeon Sengoku however departs from the previous setting of medieval fantasy into an ancient Japan. Players will guide famous Sengoku-era commanders into dungeons filled with era specific traps and monsters based on folklore. The extremely fast real time combat returns with new additions to a familiar system. Again, we'll see the Magic Circle defensive system from previous titles, on which Vassals found in the game can be used to bolster up stats, move sets, and special spells; this is done in a separate menu where players assign their preferred vassals into slots. Additionally, in ClaDun Sengoku, players can also assign Vassals to the main character to act as shields. There's also a eight type of weapons, all with their own unique qualities: swords, blunt weapons, staffs, spears, bow and arrows, short swords, shurikens, and sickle and chains. This combined with seven starting classes - the warrior, swordsman, necromancer, aristocrat, merchant, sorcerer, and priest, creates an interesting dynamic as classes have their own skills and developement directions. There's also a robust hub world element to ClaDun Sengoku - facilites in Arcanus Cella has all the shops needed to aid players in their quest; the newest additions to the series are the Suggestion Box, where NPCs will request help in exchange for money, fame, and items, and the Blacksmith, used to enhance items through reforging. There's even a castle construction mechanic, where building a bigger castle equates to min/maxing a character's stats. And with all ClaDun titles, customization is a major part; players can create highly detailed sprite based art; to find the perfect avatar to match all the different armor and weapon sets is a really nice diversion when taking a break from all the various dungeons, and a big part of this series' charm. Releasing on May 26th, the Japanese version is confirmed to come with a special first print bonus music album, filled with great retro styled synthwave beats laced with a special Japanese flavor. This is a great title recommended for those who enjoy the feel of nostalgia with a deep RPG system on the go!

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force will launch for PS Vita on July 12 for the American continent! There has been no comfirmation regarding the often asked "Physical release?" question as of yet, but most BNE trends point towards a digital-only release. Only time will tell, so keep an eye out if a physical release is important to you. If the wait is too much, the Asia region always has your back.
The physical version has already been released with English text, available to import now! As for the game itself, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force will feature a number of new playable Mobile Suits as well as pilots. Players can expect the series' familiar 2vs2 Gundam battles, as well as new unit-commanding large-scale battles in Extreme Force Mode. In the larger battles players will be able to assemble a unit of six Mobile Suits and one battleship, setting up three platoons of two Mobile Suits each. Using the new 'Force System,' players can pause the battle and command their troops, designating movement destinations for platoons and providing strategic instructions including: advance, withdraw, gather, and disperse.'Extreme Force Mode' is the primary mode and starts with a game-original mission, and continues onto missions where players can enjoy Universal Century episodes consisting of various situations from Mobile Suit Gundam up until Mobile Suit Gundam UC. You'll acquire new Mobile Suits and develop your pilot while completing missions, and organize and operate your own unit while aiming for domination. 'Force Battle Mode' is a multiplayer battle mode between two PS Vita units.
